FYI: This is my first time using Arbonne products. I don't represent the company. Here are some facts about the products to clarify my posts. I only list some of the ingredients that were relevant to me, and my personal opinions. Any questions regarding the science behind the products should be directed to the Arbonne company (see bottom of page).
Protein Shake Mix: Gluten-free, dairy-free, fructose-free. The protein comes from yellow pea protein, cranberry protein, and rice protein. The shakes are sweetened by sugar cane and stevia.
- My concerns:
- How is the sugar cane different from sugar? Does that effect the detox process?
- Corn starch is an ingredient, and this is supposed be a corn free diet.
- Answer from fb admin:
- The sugar cane is botanical, unrefined, liquid form, supposedly shown to balance blood sugar.
- The corn starch is minimal and has no effect on blood sugar. It's non-GMO and tested for purity.
Daily Fiber Boost: Added to the shake for 12 grams of fiber. Made with fruit fibers and pectin.
Digestion Plus: A combination of probiotics, prebiotics, and enzymes meant to improve digestion and nutrient absorption. The probiotic is patented by Arbonne and is said to survive the juices in your stomach.
- Smells and tastes awful, but not as bad as fermented cod liver oil.
Fizz Sticks: B vitamins and caffeine from green tea for energy and alertness. Sweetened with cane sugar and stevia.
- This seems to be a real life saver for people coming off of coffee and pop.
- My body usually hates caffeine. It makes me tired, anxious, jittery and irritable even in small amounts, but this seems to help me wake up in the morning without any side effects.
- It's tart and citrusy. I put half a packet in my detox tea in the morning with extra water because it's really sweet.
- These are delicious. The flavors (lemon, caramel and chocolate) are natural and have no aftertaste. They are perfectly chewy.
- I've been eating one with some almonds twice a day and they totally balance my blood sugar and curb my sweet tooth. As someone with an EPIC sweet tooth, I am completely surprised.
Detox Tea: A blend of herbs to help cleanse the liver and kidneys.
- Milkthistle is the first listed herb. I have never heard of it.
- This tea smells nice and tastes like almost nothing. It's good with lemon and I'm a tea fan in general. I'm also a fan of clean kidneys and liver.
